Follow our submission guidelines carefully to increase your chances of success.
Book Review Submissions
We're also seeking book reviews for our online literary magazine, focusing on recently published books of poetry, short stories, and other literary works. Reviews should be 500-1000 words, clearly written, and engaging. We're looking for reviews that provide thoughtful analysis and critique of the book, as well as insight into the author's work.
Guidelines:
Choose a recently published book (within the past 6-12 months) in the genres of poetry or literary fiction.
Write a review that includes a brief summary of the book, analysis of themes or literary devices, and evaluation of the book's strengths and weaknesses.
Submit your review as a Word document
Include your name, email address, and a brief bio (50-100 words).
Submissions can be sent as a single Word or Google doc to: mayarilit@gmail.com. Please submit up to 3 poems or 2 short stories/flash fiction on the theme, and include a cover letter with a brief introduction and third-person biography (no more than 3-5 lines please). Because of publication formatting specifications, we are only accepting left-aligned poems at this time.
